Established in 2007, FRENCH + ITALIAN celebrates the effortless style of the French and the charm of real Italian sprezzatura. Owner Aimee Lombardi is trained to examine the balance of the silhouette and the pairing of fabric textures. She travels annually to Paris, Milan and New York in search of emerging designers and investment pieces with staying power. From Italian engraved horn buttons, to hand-sewn lapels, to French vintage silks, every piece has a story.
Aimee's own story is also one of FRENCH + ITALIAN origin. Her ancestors from Foiano di val Fortore in the Campania region of Italy invented knitting machines and held patents for single and double-knit fabrics still popular today. Aimee's mother Claire always had stacks of Vogue and W by her bedside, while her father Anthony instilled in her a love of life (and Gucci). Appreciating exquisite craftsmanship and discovering its story is in her blood.
